Neil Evans next exhibition Clutterbutt Opens Wednesday 11th May, 6-8pm; until Sat. 28th May 2011. The sixty quirky paintings of everyday things (including a kitchen sink)

in Neil Evans's latest exhibition have been done on used bus tickets. The artist has been exhibiting since going to The National Art School in 1969, been hung in the Archibald twice,

and is considered a consummate master of painterly techniques. If you like the self portrait rendered on a used bus ticket in the Salon, you should visit the show in person to appreciate just how large and precious small normal things can be.

Rew Hanks - linocuts - The Governor's Garden

opening at The Redbox Gallery, Royal Botanical Gardens, Sydney Thursday 10th February 6pm until 25th March 2011

Rew Hanks was artist in resident at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney in 2010.

The residency provided Hanks with a rich and historical cache to work from resulting in a series of 14 magnificent linocut prints.

Rew Hanks will also be exhibiting at Watters Gallery, opening Wednesday 16th Novenber 2011

 

 

Ken Searle - Two Weeks in Chloride Street

opening at Broken Hill Regional Gallery Friday 11th February 6.30pm until 27th March 2011

Opens at Watters Gallery Wednesday 13th April 6-8pm until Saturday 7th May 2011

Ken Searle spent two weeks as artist in residence at Broken Hill as guest of Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery.

The culmination of this residency are twenty five drawings from the town of Broken Hill, to be opened in an exhibition at the Broken Regional Art Gallery Friday 11th February, 2011.

This exhibition will also been on show at Watters Gallery to be opened Wednesday 13th April, 6-8pm

An exhibition of apparently massive steel gravity defying sculptures hang suspended in space.

These awe inspiring works are, in fact, two dimensional cutouts, 1mm thick, by the sculptor Paul Selwood.
