Born in Sydney 1940.

Noel Hutchison studied part-time to obtain a Bachelor of Arts at Sydney University. His sustained research following an M.A. thesis, has rendered him an authority on Australian sculpture of all periods. Despite the onerous demands of teaching, Noel Hutchison has participated in over 25 exhibitions since 1971 amongst them:

1973: Recent Australian Art, Art Gallery of New South Wales

1975: Solo Exhibition - Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Launceston.

1976: Biennale of Sydney, Art Gallery of New South Wales

1981: First Australian Sculpture Triennial, La Trobe University, Melbourne
