Margot Hutcheson, who studied at St, Martin's School, London, arrived in Australia in 1974. She started exhibiting in 1981 and has held ten solo exhibitions. Her paintings usually depict experiences from her own life. Her unique style has already won the admiration of serious collectors. For instance, her work is in the collection of Allen, Allen and Hemsley (Sydney), IBM (Sydney), Artbank, National Gallery of Victoria (Melbourne), the Museum of Contemporary Art (Brisbane) as well as the University of New South Wales.

She moved to Spain in 1990 and has exhibited in Barcelona. Margot later moved to London where she now resides. She has been commissioned to paint works for 2 restaurants in Atlanta, Georgia.
