| Robert Klippel (1920 -2001) is generally recognised as Australia's greatest sculptor. His work spans over half a century from 1944. James Gleeson's book Robert Klippel (Bay Books), published in 1984, is the definitive work on this sculptor. Klippel has made over 800 sculptures and thousands of remarkable works on paper. In 1988 he was awarded an Order of Australia for his services to art. |
