Oliffe Richmond's death at the young age of 57 (in 1977), was a great loss to sculpture. A year earlier he had exhibited 14 large wooden sculptures which set him apart as an original and important artist. As well as in Australia, his work has been exhibited in the U.K., Holland, Denmark, France, Germany, the United States and New Zealand and is in many overseas collections
